Marcel Kolaja is a Czech politician and member of the Pirate Party who has been a Member of the European Parliament since 2019. He served as Vice-President of the European Parliament until 2022. He currently holds the role of EP Bursar, overseeing administrative and financial matters related to the functioning of the institution. In 2022, he was elected as the First Vice-President of the Czech Pirate Party. Prior to his election to the European Parliament, he worked on digital policy issues and the right to information. In the European Parliament, he is a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) and also participates in the work of the Delegation for relations with Japan. Kolaja is also active in areas of promoting innovation and technological development within the EU.
